The Western resorts of Kos

 

As one of the largest islands of the Dodecanese chain, Kos has a well established tourism infrastructure with may hotels of all standards from small self catering studios to large all inclusive hotels catering for all the customers needs.

Our tour starts with the resort of Kefalos, located 20 or so km from Kos airport. The resort features some fine sandy beaches with views of the small islet of Kastri and its tiny church. Wind surfing is popular here and equipment can be rented on the beach. We than move East to Kardamena, popular with both the younger vistor for its lively bars and clubs and families alike, the resort offers some excellent All Inclusive hotels of all standards.

Our tour finishes in Mastahari, where the ferry can be caught for the neighbouring island of Kalymnos.

The Eastern Resorts of Kos

Our tour starts with the capitol, Kos Town which offers some interesting historical sights such as the popular western excavations and the Plane tree of Hippocrates in addition to a range of shopping options in the town centre whilst the harbour offers excursions to neighbouring islands and also day trips to Turkey. Just a little way along the coast can be found Psalidi, with its range of all-inclusive hotels and the wetlands conservation area for those interested in nature and conservation. Tingaki has fine sandy beaches and a good range of water sports facilities and in common with a lot of Kos' resorts, push bikes can are readily available for rent.
