The Dodecanese-Kalymnos
Kalymnos, Greece
Kalymnos is located less than an hours ferry sailing from the port of Mastahari in Kos.
The island was made famous for its high quality sponges which divers retrived from the waters around the island and is now popular with climbers, eager to conquer the climbing ranges the island has to offer.
Our tour starts with the ferry arriving in the busy main town of Pothia with its tradittional fishing boats and pavement cafe's and tavernas before visiting the peaceful village of Emborios, where an ancient diving suit can be seen in Catain Costas Taverna.
The hills behind Mirties offer outstanding views of Telendos island where its claimed some of the best sunsets in Greece can be seen and nearby Kantouni offers some excellent beaches and seaside dining at the tavernas.
Or short tour than takes us to the tiny port of Vathi, a popular stop off point for excursion boats before returning to Telendos for the sunset.
